刘竹凌，新闻传播系助理教授。博士毕业于纽约州立大学布法罗分校，获哲学博士学位。主要研究方向为与环境、健康议题相关的风险传播。主要研究风险感知、情绪、自我效能等因素如何影响信息搜寻 (information seeking) 与信息处理 (information processing)。研究主题包括疫苗接种、资源回收与利用、全球变暖、PFAS等。文章刊于Health Communication, Environmental Communication, Science Communication，Environmental Development等期刊。曾参与由美国科学基金、纽约州环境署资助的研究项目。担任Environmental Communication，Science Communication, Journal of Health Communication，Mass Communication & Society等学术期刊审稿人。
