Suchen Song received his Bachelor degree from Peking University (China) and his Ph.D. in communication from Université de Montréal (Canada). Prior to joining SJTU, he worked in China Radio International, La Croix (a French newspaper), Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan (France), and Saint-Jean School of University of Albert (Canada).

At present, he is an Associate Professor of communication at SJTU. His teaching covers organizational communication, management communication and press photography. He takes charge of general activities of College Students Media Center and has obtained several outstanding teaching awards. In addition, he was a Guest Professor (professeur invité) at Collègue de Sorbonne (France) in 2011.
