Biography:

Yitong Huang has an interdisciplinary training background in media, psychology and human-computer interaction. A central theme of her work is how to design interactive user experiences to make people healthier and happier. This involves informing designs with user requirement elicitation studies, building novel technologies to address unmet user needs, and studying how digital technologies are used both in the lab and “in the wild” (Rogers & Marshall, 2017).

Education:

PhD Human-Computer Interaction, University of Nottingham, co-supervised by Steve Benford and Holly Blake

MSc Social Cognition (Distinction), University College London

BA Digital Media Broadcasting (1st Class Honour), City University of Hong Kong

Research Approaches:

Lab and field experiments, semi-structured interviews, ecological momentary assessment (diary methods, indirect observations, wearable tracking), neuroscientific measurement
