“China through My Eyes": Short Video Contest for International Students in China held by School of Media and Communication, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has attracted a lot of interests from universities all over China. It partnered with 30 universities around China and got professional support from several media including CCTV, People.cn, Shanghai United Media Group, Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group, Baidu and Eastday.com. There were in total 224 videos submitted to the competition website, which were made by international students from 26 universities and 41 countries originally.

Purpose of the contest is to enhance international students’ knowledge of Chinese culture and society, to present China’s culture and standing to the world from an objective and authentic perspective, and to build bridges between international and Chinese students to increase their communication exchanges and mutual understanding.

The contest Organizing Committee invited renowned experts in areas of video production, overseas studies, cultural exchanges, and international communication to form a Review Committee for the contest. The Review Committee has made several rounds of evaluation and finally selected the winners based on originality, creativity, aesthetics, and artistic value of the videos.

Please find the following winners list. If you have any objection or question towards the result, please email to the Organizing Committee Secretariat by September 30, 2019. Objections should be well-grounded and supported by proof. Any of the following winners will be disqualified if they prove to have violated contest rules by plagiarizing, cheating or patent infringing.
