SJTU School of Media and Communication Student Fan Zhendong Wins Gold Medal in Men's Singles Table Tennis at Paris Olympic Games

On the evening of August 4th, Beijing time, at the men's singles final of the table tennis event of the Paris Olympic Games, Chinese athlete Fan Zhendong, a student from the School of Media and Communication at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, defeated Swedish athlete Moregard with a score of 7-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8, 11-8 to win the gold medal in men's singles. Fan Zhendong has become the third "super Grand Slam" player in Chinese table tennis, following Deng Yaping and Ma Long, to have won singles titles at the Olympics, World Championships, World Cup, Asian Games, Asian Championships, Asia Cup, ITTF World Tour Finals, National Games, and National Championships.
