Professor Tong Qingyan Has Published a Paper in the English Edition of Social Sciences in China

Tong Qingyan, a tenured professor at the School of Media and Communication, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has published a paper titled "Analysis of the Pacific Rim Austronesian Marine Civilization from a Cultural Exchange Perspective" in the latest issue, the third edition of 2024, of Social Sciences in China (English Edition).

Journal Introduction

Social Sciences in China (English Edition), the only comprehensive English-language academic journal in the field of humanities and social sciences in mainland China, was founded in 1980. It focuses on global development trends and is targeted at overseas readers. The journal introduces the academic achievements of Chinese scholars in humanities and social science research, disseminates theoretical developments and academic research information in China's humanities and social sciences, promotes international cultural exchanges, and serves China's modernization drive and the prosperity and development of humanities and social sciences.

 

Author Biography

Tong Qingyan is a tenured professor at the School of Media and Communication, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is the lead expert for a major national project titled "Research on Ways to Enhance the Global Influence of Chinese Culture in the Network and Digital Age." She also serves as the deputy director of the China Education Association's Youth Media Literacy Committee and the director of the Digital Communication Base for Cultural Relics. She has long been concerned with issues of cultural exchange and mutual learning among civilizations, and leads her team in research on digital communication and media creative economy.
